This article presents a general survey of current research activities within the Korean statistical physics community. The tradition of statistical physics in Korea starts from the late Professor Soon-Tahk Cho in the 1970s. The community has continued to grow since then, and nowadays more than 200 members are working actively on various research topics. I classify the research topics into eight categories: phase transitions and critical phenomena, scaling in dynamical systems, nonequilibrium statistical mechanics, soft matter physics, quantum systems, disordered systems and glassy dynamics, biophysics, and complex systems. For each category, the research agenda and the research groups are introduced.
