Practical realizations of many interesting and potentially important applications and ideas in quantum information science are strongly tied to our ability to manage the decoherence problem. In this article, we give a rather pictorial description of the quantum weak measurement and its interesting properties. We then show how the weak quantum measurement can be used to suppress decoherence and, hence, to protect quantum states (even entanglement) from decoherence.
