Current needs for further advances in the nanotechnologies of information-storage and -processing devices have attracted a great deal of interest in spin (magnetization) dynamics in nanometer-scale patterned magnetic elements. In particular, spin waves have attracted lots of attention due to their potential application for information carrier. Thus, here we introduce numerical simulation studies of spin waves regarding the excitation and wavelike behaviors of spin waves in restricted geometries of nanometer scale, and implementations in potential spin wave (or magnonic) devices.
