Grimmia anomala Schimp., Pohlia filum (Schimp.) Martensson, and Hookeria acutifolia Hook. & Grev. are noteworthy moss species reported here for the first time in South-West Asia from specimens collected in north-eastern and north-western Turkey. The diagnostic characters, habitat preferences, illustrations, and updated ranges of the treated species are given together with notes comparing them with those of related taxa.
