The type species of Nelcyndana, Nelcyndana tener (Stål, 1870) from the Philippines, is redescribed and illustrated. The taxonomic position of the genus Nelcyndana in the tribe Taphurini is discussed. Three new species from Borneo are described and illustrated: Nelcyndana borneensissp. n., Nelcyndana vantolisp. n., and Nelcyndana mulusp. n. Distributions maps for the three Borneo species are presented and a key for the identification of the four Asian species of the genus is provided.
