This study was designed as a preliminary investigation of safety and efficacy of LifePearl, polyethylene glycol microspheres loaded with doxorubicin for treatment of locally untreatable (i.e., unresectable and not suitable for local thermal ablation) hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC).
