Currently, special attention is being paid to the issue of national competitiveness. Countries establish councils for national competitiveness, provide discussions, estimate competitiveness and, according to the obtained results, create and implement strategies. However, the popularity of the concept of national competitiveness does not give clear understanding about its real meaning and sometimes is even misleading, as each individual observer has his own subjective interest-based understanding. Also, the absence of consensus considering the concept of national competitiveness eliminates the opportunity to make a comprehensive, well-grounded set of factors to explain the content of competitiveness. This paper, after defining the concept of national competitiveness, identifies factors in national competitiveness and, with reference to literature analysis, describes the content of each factor
