The prevalence of cesarean surgery has been alarming over the past three decades. In Romania, the rate of cesarean surgery has increased dramatically since 1990. This increase in the percentage of cesarean surgeries was not only achieved in Romania, but also globally. The paper presents a comparison of the reasons for carrying out C-section births in Romania and the reasons in the world.
