This work aims to present some alternatives for approaching the Pythagoras Theorem in the classroom. The methodology is the bibliographic research, and it takes into account some aspects of Mathematics History. The work consists of four stages. The first is to present the history of the Pythagoras Theorem. In the second step, some textbooks are analyzed and compared in order to show how content is approached. Then, some suggestions are presented for activities using concrete materials. And finally, the learning object, PitagorasNet, is presented as a digital resource that can be used as a tool in the teaching of the theorem. This paper aims to contribute to the teaching of mathematics, specifically in the study of the Pythagoras Theorem. Some tools can be used to diversify the classes, increase students’ motivation and facilitate the understanding of content.
