First record of Psenes pellucidus (Perciformes, Actinopterygii) in the Sardinian waters (central western Mediterranean)

The first record of Psenes pellucidus Lutken, 1880, (Nomeidae) in Sardinian waters (Central western Mediterranean) is reported. The present finding appears to be an interesting stage of transformation from the juvenile to the more elongate form of an adult.
