The planning of Indonesian nurse competence examination development will be developed by OSCE method. OSCE requires thorough preparation, especially preparation of knowledge and competence of lecturers to perform OSCE. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and competence of lecturers in developing OSCE in the Associate’s Degree of Nursing Study Program of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan (STIKES) Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Cilacap. The research design was qualitative by case study design. The research informants were 6 lecturers Associate’s Degree of Nursing Study Program. Data was collected by in depth interview and documentation study. The data was then analyzed by constant comparative method. The research showed that lecturers’ knowledge on OSCE and competence by education qualified for OSCE development, but still required training on OSCE.
