The text is about nuclear weapons as a global risk to humanity, efforts in international treaties for disarmament and non-proliferation. The focus of the study is the analysis of the three conferences on the humanitarian impact of nuclear weapons held in Norway, Mexico and Austria in relation to the nuclear arms race and the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The article analyzes the positions of the States in the doctrines of nuclear deterrence in debate with the States that seek immediate disarmament, having repercussions on humanitarian and legal consequences.
