SOBRE A NECESSIDADE DE SE INICIAR O ENSINO/APRENDIZAGEM DA ESTATÍSTICA E DA PROBABILIDADE NA INFÂNCIA ON THE NEED TO START TEACHING / LEARNING OF STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY IN CHILDHOOD

O ensino da Estatistica e da Probabilidade e ate mesmo da Estocastica e recomendado pelos PCN a partir dos primeiros anos de escolaridade. Em varios paises isto ja e uma realidade, contudo no Brasil, apesar da normatizacao para que isto ocorra ter sido executada ha quase duas decadas , a realidade tem mostrado que pouco ou quase nada foi realizado. Os motivos residem principalmente na falta de formacao do professor, uma vez que as diretrizes curriculares dos cursos de Matematica nao comtemplam estes conteudos. Assim existe uma situacao inusitada onde a legislacao, por um lado, determina que o ensino destes conteudos deve ser feito desde os primeiros anos de escolaridade, mas, por outro lado, isto nao e mandatorio para os professores que terao que faze-lo. The teaching of Statistics and Probability and even Stochastic is recommended by the PCN from the early years of schooling. In many countries this is already a reality, but in Brazil, despite the regulation for this to occur has been performed almost two decades, the reality has shown that little or almost nothing was done. The reasons lie mainly in the lack of teacher training, since the curriculum guidelines of mathematics courses, not for this content.
