The Intercultural Community Intervention Project (ICI Project) is a proposal to generate intercultural community processes that, based on the existing, promote interaction, harmony and social cohesion in territories of high diversity, favoring community integration and training, through the creation of joint and participatory structures in which political representatives, public administration professionals, social entities and citizens can jointly face their challenges. It provides a highly innovative intervention model by integrating, in a same approach and methodology, the philosophy and praxis of community intervention with those of interculturality and mediation, adapting in its application to the various territorial realities. The results achieved show the suitability of the model to generate an articulated and participatory response, corroborating its hypothesis that more organized and cohesive communities are better able to face adversities and improve their quality of life.
