The use of home exercises to treat convergence insufficiency has been effective, but there are no studies with adequate methodological designs that demonstrate its effectiveness. Objective: To verify the effectiveness of home exercises in the treatment of convergence insufficiency. Methodology: A case-control study was carried out with a selection of the convenience sample, composed of four individuals of both sexes, carried out at the Centro Universitário Assis Gurgacz (FAG). Outcomes included the signs and symptoms of convergence insufficiency through of the CISS questionnaire, visual acuity through the Snellen Table and the near point of convergence (NPC). Results: Four individuals, 75% female and 25% male, were evaluated and treated, with a mean age of 24, 25 ± 4.5 years. All reported symptoms of diplopia and visual discomfort during close activities and headache.
