As methodology, it was used the theoretical-methodological framework of the Theory of Social Representations, which was interpreted the representation of five subjects practicing for over ten years in the context of Ceara's backlands from the thematic analysis. The social representations of practitioners about their practices are located in social categories, such as socialization, change of social context, personal formation, cultural diversity, form of expression and lifestyle.
