Este estudo visa hibridizar a manifestacao do Lazer enquanto politica publica de seguranca e reestruturacao urbana com a reducao dos indices de violencia social. E de natureza aplicada, caracterizando-se pelo seu carater qualitativo envolvendo levantamento bibliografico e pesquisa de campo utilizando-se como instrumento para a coleta de dados uma escala do tipo Likert, divididas em tres dimensoes: Lazer, Politicas Publicas Seguranca e Reestruturacao Urbana e Satisfacao. A amostra foi composta por 40 pessoas. Os resultados indicam que praca se tornou mais frequentada apos as acoes publicas de reestruturacao. No que tange a oferta das atividades do contexto lazer, as mudancas estruturais aumentaram a pratica das atividades do contexto do lazer. A utilizacao dos espacos por meio dessas atividades diminuiu a violencia no local. O estudo conclui que na opiniao dos moradores, as acoes publicas voltadas para reestruturacao urbana promovem o aumento da pratica das atividades do contexto do lazer e o grau de satisfacao com relacao aos aspectos ligados a estrutura sociourbana e os indicadores de violencia social. Public Security: Dwellers' Opinion on the Practice of Leisure as a Mechanism for Reducing the Indicators of Violence This study aims to hybridize the manifestation of Leisure as a public policy of security and urban restructuring with the reduction of social violence rates. It is of an applied nature, characterized by its qualitative character, involving a bibliographical survey and field research using as a tool to collect data a Likert type scale, divided into three dimensions: Leisure, Public Policies, Security and Urban Restructuring and Satisfaction . The sample consisted of 40 people. The results indicate that the square became more crowded after the public restructuring actions. Regarding leisure activities, the structural changes increased the practice of leisure activities. The use of the spaces through these activities diminished the violence in the place. The study concludes that in the opinion of the residents, the public actions aimed at urban restructuring promote an increase in the practice of leisure activities and the degree of satisfaction with regard to the aspects related to the sociourban structure and indicators of social violence.
