The Leisure Career: A Possibility from Serious Leisure Perspective The article proposes the concept of career presentation in leisure as a possibility from the Serious Leisure Perspective (SLP), by the Canadian sociologist Robert A. Stebbins. The theoretical foundations of the concept, its basic elements and contributions from different researchers at leisure on their development are presented. The various formulations about the career in leisure are predominantly in the English language, which can be considered an obstacle to understanding and discussion in Brazil. Thus, the main objective of this article is to disseminate this scientific knowledge which, although present in the international context often still have little space in the discussions and studies on leisure in Brazil.
