A atividade fisica constitui importante representacao cultural e historica, sendo influenciada por multiplas questoes e contextualizada em determinado momento, regiao e populacao que a pratica.  Esse texto identifica as atividades fisicas praticadas por adultos de uma comunidade quilombola do alto sertao baiano, em seu tempo livre. A coleta transversal de dados contou com a participacao de adultos residentes na comunidade quilombola de Tome Nunes, situada em Malhada, na Bahia – Brasil. Questionaram-se os entrevistados sobre as atividades fisicas realizadas em seu tempo livre. Identificou-se o futebol como a mais praticada por ambos os sexos, independente de faixa etaria. No entanto, mais da metade dos adultos quilombolas, principalmente mulheres e pessoas de mais idade, parece nao praticar nenhuma atividade fisica em seu tempo livre. Physical Activities Performed at the Pastime in the Quilombola Community of High Wilderness of Bahia State Physical activity is an important cultural and historical representation, it is influenced by multiple questions and contextualized to the moment determined, region and population which practices it. This text identifies the physical activities practiced by adults of the quilombola community of high wilderness in Bahia state, in their free time. The cross data collection counted on adult dwellers of the quilombola community of Thome Nunes, in Malhada city, Bahia state, Brazil. The interviewed people were questioned about activities carried out in their free time. Soccer was identified as the most practiced activity by both sexes and regardless to the age group. However, more than half of the adults, especially women and elderlies, seem not to practice any physical activity in their free time.
