Most of the cities around the world experiment a messy and expansive development, that takes to the formation of mega-cities, where inhabit most of the country population. In view of this condition, sustainable cities should be a goal and a global challenge for all the countries in the world. Under such condition, sustainable electro-mobility represents an inherent element of modern sustainable cities, with great advantages including improvement in public health, savings in oil expenses and a better quality of life. The difficult situation of the “Gran Área Metropolitana” (GAM) requires a radical change in terms of urban planning, that address the development toward strategic axes as: compact sustainable city, priority to pedestrian and public transport, inter-modality, electro-mobility, establishment of spatial, ecological and population boundaries, use of renewables energies, sustainable environmental management and social, business and political agreement about a city model.
