Lexical- semantic ambiguity has been a core topic in many disciplines of Linguistics. It has been mostly associated to mother-tongue information retrieval and second-language acquisition. However, this linguistic phenomenon also affects translated texts, thus the translation skill, which is evident from the very translation training. Consequently, this paper aims at analyzing the most significant approaches to the treatment of lexical-semantic ambiguity in the teaching- learning process of translation, so as to set pathways for approaching it didactically.
