HUBUNGAN USIA IBU DAN PARTUS LAMA TERHADAP KEJADIAN ASFIKSIA NEONATORUM DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM RADEN MATTAHER PROVINSI JAMBI

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), in 2015 the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in the world reached 43 per 1,000 live births experiencing Asphyxia. Perinatal mortality in Indonesia alone reaches 26 per 1000 births. Data obtained from Raden Mattaher General Hospital Jambi, the number of neonatal asphyxia cases in 2016 were 107 cases, increasing in 2017 as many as 106 cases, and in 2018 asphyxia cases as many as 116 cases. Some of the causes of asphyxia in newborns are the age of the mother and old parturition. This is because it can cause maternal blood flow through the placenta to decrease which results in fetal distress. This research is an analytic case control. The population of this study The population in this study was divided into two groups, namely the case group was newborns with asphyxia in 2018 as many as 116 people and the control group was a normal newborn in 2018. The number of samples was as many as 116 people were taken by total sampling technique for case samples and simple random sampling of control samples. This research was conducted at Raden Mattaher Hospital in Jambi on April-May 2019. Data were analyzed by univariate and bivariate using the chi square test.The results showed that 163
