The planning of its activities is a critical success factor for the Tax and Customs Inspection. This paper presents the implementation of a web application, called PlanIT, in the Leiria Finance Department, which aims to support the planning and control of the inspection activity in that regional unit. The ranking of the portfolio of tax inspection actions considers two criteria the priority and the amount at risk. These two criteria are similar to the urgency and importance of the Eisenhower’s matrix, so a new bi-criterion algorithm for the ordering of activities is presented.
