It was studied the strategies of wilting and the use of citrus pulp for silage of alfalfa. The treatments were: the addition of 10% citrus pulp (T1), wilting convencial (T2) and wilting in piles overlapping (T3). The silos were 24 plastic buckets, sealed, weighed, stored at room temperature, protected from sunlight and rain, during 90 days. The wilted silages led to higher levels of DM and higher content of CP in relation to the use of 10% citrus pulp, which presented the lowest value for NDF and higher in IVDMD.
