Phytobezoar is a form of bezoar consisting of fibers and vegetable seeds or undigested fruit seeds that accumulate in the gastrointestinal tract and cause mechanical obstruction, edema and major injury to the intestinal mucosa. In view of the various subtypes of bezoars and the variety of seeds involved in the occurrence of this pathology, Fitobezoar by Acerola seeds, represents an unusual condition and of little description in the medical literature.
