Death / dying process is still little debated and questioned among nursing professionals in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, even though it is a phenomenon that is present in the daily life of the service. Objective: To identify nursing actions for parents on neonatal loss and to know the role of nurses in this context. Methodology: This is an integrative review carried out through the Virtual Health Library, including the Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences databases, Nursing Database and Scientific Electronic Library Online. Results: 13 papers were selected that met the inclusion criteria and answered the guiding question: "What are the strategies performed by nursing to family in the face of neonatal death?".
