This paper aims to understand the relevance of democratic and participative management in the educational field. Such research is based on theoretical foundations of some authors who deal with the referred theme, such as; Libâneo (2008) and Lück (2009), in addition to the Law of Directives and Bases of National Education, no 9.394 / 96, and the Federal Constitution of 1988. It is concluded that legal precepts and theoretical ideals of the studied authors promote importance to the model democratic management, essential for the promotion of a dialogical and shared education.
