The municipality of Tucuruí located in southeastern Pará, in the Amazon region, has great economic and energy potential due to the Tucuruí hydroelectric plant (UHT). The increasing urbanization of the city and land use, potentiate the degradation of vegetation and water resources, due to the absence of adequate planning for environmental sustainability. The research aimed to identify the main environmental impact indicators in the 4th order baseline of the Santana stream. In view of this, the airport roadway was detected as a bus to the drainage of rainwater, voçoroca, deep ravines, buffering due to housing actions (Condomínios Viva Cidade and Verdes Lagos), removal of paving material from public roads and voçoroca from the source. The study emphasizes the influence of the indicators on the impacts on the second order channels of the Santana stream and its source, the disturbances caused by silting, as well as flooding processes in the urban perimeter, risking the socio-sanitary conditions of the local community. Finally, it is observed that research using environmental indicators provides to be efficient in the identification of anthropic interferences to the environment, and it is necessary to act in such a situation, including raising the awareness of the community involved.
