The aim of this article is to present Design Thinking as a teaching methodology in the field of epistemological disciplines of law degree. Not seeking to exhaust all the scientific plurality that this theme provides, the objective here is only to introduce the methodology, demonstrating how the subject could bring great benefits and improvements in the teaching / learning process, as well as in the teacher / student relations in contexts of increasing objectification of our society through Brazilian Journal of Development Braz. J. of Develop., Curitiba, v. 6, n. 6, p.33021-33039, jun. 2020. ISSN 2525-8761 33022 technological innovations. Through a qualitative research of bibliographic nature, this article presents what Design Thinking is, its methodological procedure and the way it could be thought as an instrument for strengthening the pedagogical process in the epistemological disciplines that are usually neglected in law education. Seeking the development of creativity and inventiveness, we seek to show how even in these more theoretical disciplines, the use of student experience and investigative and creative work has enormous potential to produce meaningful learning in student education.
