The aim of this study is to raise the state of the art of national scientific production about women's participation in politics through a bibliometric study. The research has a theoretical nature of quantitative approach and descriptive exploratory character, reflecting the production of the theme by Brazilian researchers from 2010 to 2018. The data collection technique chosen was documentary research, and the data were analyzed using statistics. descriptive. Iramuteq software was also used to apply the Descending Hierarchical Classification method, thus organizing the occurrence of words in the analysis of the textual corpus. As a result there was a gap in research and the need to publish more on the topic. This research points out that the issue of women's participation in politics still requires many investigations. It was also possible to verify that the researches related to the political representation of women are structured in two main axes, one focused on politics and its legislation as promotion of the participation of women in the field of political representation, and another about the political agent in the relationship with women. the party and its instances of representation.
