The objective of this study is to describe and analyze in a comparative way the activities carried out at the curricular level in the component "Analysis and diagnosis of regional agrarian systems" of the thematic axis Rural Development, in the UERGS, Santana do Livramento (RS) in relation to the actions educational programs undertaken by the University of the Republic (UdelaR) on the northern border of Uruguay (Tacuarembó and Rivera Areas), where a process of development of university headquarters begins. The methodological procedure of research is comparative education and multilocal and multirreferential ethnography. It is a space of necessarily interdisciplinary knowledge construction that is fertile ground, with broad prospects for its potentiality. The university strategy appears as the result of a series of events that emerge in ceaseless response of the environment, adapted to a historical moment. It is considered a consequent emergent situation with a series of decisions and / or actions. As a BrazilianJournal of Development Braz.
