This work presents a preliminar flotation study in order to reclaim a tailing from gold leaching process (C.I.L.). The CIL tailing is directed to storage tanks called specific tanks, in which they are stored without economic destination. The stored resource is about 10M tonnes, containing 1g/t Au and 17% S, with a potential increase of 15M tonnes in LOM (life of mine).A sulphide bulk flotation circuit was carried out in order to obtain a concentrate containing gold and sulphides . Next, the obtained cleaner bulk concentrate fed a new flotation circuit to concentrate the free gold particles on the froth. In the first bulk flotation circuit, the use of the collector mixture, xanthate and dithiophosphate, conducted at pH = 4.0, was efficient with recoveries of gold and sulphides, equal to 91% and 97%, respectively. In the next circuit, the depression of sulphides with potassium permanganate (750 g / t) was carried out, at pH 10, and a free gold concentrate was obtained, with a content of 32 ppm, representing 6% of the mass of the sample.
