État-Nation : un couple indissociable ?

Après avoir évoqué la manière dont les approches fonctionnalistes et étatistes organisent intellectuellement la congruence de l'État et de la Nation, cet article invite à repenser leurs rapports sur un mode plus complexe. Il introduit ainsi ce numéro de Pôle Sud orienté dans le sens d'une relativisation du couple statonational ; relativisation qui permet une compréhension moins normative des identités collectives dans les sociétés contemporaines, plus spécialement celles d'Europe du Sud.After evoking the way functionalist and statist approaches organize intellectually the congruence of State and Nation, this paper invites to reconsider their relations in a more complex mode. Thus, it introduces this Pôle Sud issue which is oriented towards a relativization of the nation-state couple. A relativization which allows a less normative understanding of collective identities in contemporary societies, more specially those from southern Europe.Darviche Mohammad-Saïd.
