Pharmaceutical Numismatics : The Tokens of the Cival War. The first Civil War Tokens were issued in 1862 in Cincinnati. This paper describes the Druggist' tokens as witnesses of the local pharmaceutical history during the Civil War. The description of the items shows the unspecialized character of the establishments typical of the time and place.Pharmazeutische Münzkunde : Die « Civil War Tokens ». Die ersten « Civil War Tokens » wurden 1862 in Cincinnati geprägt. Dieser Artikel beschreibt die Apotheker Tokens als Zeuge des örtlichen pharmazeutischen Geschichte während des Civil War.
