An Update on the Brown Marmorated Stink Bug UNH Cooperative Extension is monitoring the increased presence of the brown marmorated stink bug in several New Hampshire communities. This invasive species can be a significant household nuisance, and has the potential to become a serious agricultural pest throughout New England. The stink bugs emerge from overwintering between late March and mid-May. They can be identified by the pattern on their antennae: dark, light, dark, light, dark. Cooperative Extension encourages citizens to report any sightings to help further research and monitoring efforts.
