La actuación del trabajador social en la reinserción de adolescentes infractores de Portoviejo

The resent research was carried out in the Zonal Unit for Integral Development (ZUID) Zone 4 Manabi-Santo Domingo of the Ministry of Justice, Human Rights and Cults of Ecuador in the city of Portoviejo. The main objective was to analyze the results of the intervention of the social worker in the reinsertion of adolescents who committed crimes such as: robbery, possession of weapons, substances and narcotic drugs, attempted indecent assault, sexual offenses and contravention. The research was qualitative-quantitative, supported by statistical method, documentary, bibliographical and field; using instruments for data collection such as: the interview applied to three professionals responsible for working with non-custodial juvenile offenders and parents; and the survey applied to 29 adolescents in the implementation of socio-educational measures. The results obtained allowed to identify the effective actions carried out by the social worker and a multidisciplinary team within this institution, which consisted in promoting values in families and awareness, of the use and abuse of drugs, through participatory workshops, restorative circles, which have an impact on change and responsible decision-making.
