Background/Purpose: The Person-Centered Environment and Care Assessment Tool (PCECAT) was developed to measure quality care in longterm care facilities from the perspective of person-centered care. This study was conducted to evaluate psychometric properties of self-report and the Korean version of the PCECAT. Methods: Data accrued from 511 staff working in 43 long-term care facilities at various levels in Korea. Psychometric evaluation included item-total correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and construct and concurrent validity analysis. Results: The Korean version of the PCECAT contained 36 items, after excluding items that poorly correlated with the rest (due to low loading and cross-loading). The EFA identified seven factor solutions that explained 67.8% of the total variance. The Korean version of the PCECAT showed positive and convergent patterns among factors. It also showed a good correlation with the Korean version of the Person-Centered Care Assessment Tool (PCAT), confirming its construct and concurrent validity. Conclusion: The Korean version of the PCECAT demonstrated suitability for assessing quality of care and the environment of long-term care facilities from the perspective of person-centered care.
