The present article pretends to make a reflective analysis of the fundamental role of art through history and as a result of the scientificand technological development was losing its privileged role. In addition, the picture of  education in these times and its relationship with the arts is also presented in the same way. Finally, there is also a brief tour of Projecto  Zero and the Pensamiento Creativo Program conceived at Harvard University which, in sum with other similar ones, try to revalue the place that once had the arts in education.
