The present-day education system and its needs have changed drastically, with the advant of information and communication technologies and their application in teaching and learning. The use of traditional methods has gradually been replaced information-based methods in deliverying information to students. In respond to call, the Ministry of Education of Malaysia has formulated the Malaysian Education Development Plan 2013-2025, aiming at encouraging the utilization of ICT among the teachers in their teaching practices. The purpose of this study is to examine the level of ICT skills of Tamil teachers, whether it corresponds to the level of ICT facilities aptness in schools. This qualitative study involved four Tamil teachers as a sample of the study. The semistructured interview data were thematically analyzed. The findings show that the Tamil language teachers have moderate proficiency in ICT, and ICT facilities of their school did not meet the requirements adequately, showing that the interest of teachers in utilizing the ICT in their teaching has direct corresponding influence with the aptness of the facilities. In summation, the ICT facilities in schools is an important aspect for one to use the ICT-based teaching aids in teaching and learning and developing the ICT skills of the teachers.
