Estudo correlacional entre lombalgia e concavidade lombar em universitários

Th e low back pain is a pathology that acquires 80% of the population at some time of the life, being one common complain to both the sex. Was aimed in the present study to correlate lumbar pain with the lumbar concavity in students of the University Center of Triangle – UNITRI. Th e sampling was composed of 100 volunteers (85 women and 15 men), sedentary, with lumbar pain, 18-35 years old, in which had been applied evaluation with criteria of inclusion and exclusion. As evaluation instrument were used scales analogical visual scale of pain and cipholordometer for quantifi cation of the lumbar bending. Th rough the statistical analysis, it was verifi ed that does not exist correlation between low back pain and lumbar bending and that lumbar pain is increasing with age for both the sex. Moreover, it was verifi ed to have a trend of the feminine sex to present a bigger lumbar concavity that the masculine sex. Key-words: low back pain, lumbar lordosis, cipholordometer.
