The aim of this study was to develop a treatment protocol to Weber B and C ankle fractures, beyond the assessment of the treatment outcome. Four patients were treated from the first postoperative day until sixteenth postoperative week. The evaluated topics were ROM (range of motion), muscle strength and swelling (perimeter). Through the Olerud and Molander scoring scale (1984), we evaluated subjective topics as pain, rigidity, swelling, climbing stairs, running, jumping, squat, weight bearing and everyday activities. At the end of the treatment, all patients got significant improvement in the evaluated topics, beyond returning to the same activity level before trauma. The average score in the Olerud and Molander scale was 81.25. Physical therapy intervention was determinant and essential to functional patients recover.
