Wound care orientation in the family This study aimed to steer the family in making correct techniques and identification of wound healing in the family environment. This is a qualitative study with methodological approach, exploratory and field participant. The research was conducted with five families with patients with acute and chronic wounds. We conducted home visits and systematic observation of dressings made by family and semi-structured interview. Data were analyzed using the technique proposed by Minayo categorization. The family performs adaptations to promote patient care at home facing overruns and new routines for the daily care of the patient. We stress the need for Family Health Strategy (ESF) count on a multidisciplinary team trained and updated continuously on the Household Care and its complications. it is suggested the organization of a protocol for home care for wounds.
