Resilience in people with paraplegia: a qualitative approach This article focuses on the meanings and feelings of paraplegic patient and to identify ways to overcome this physical disability. This qualitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study was composed of 30 patients with paraplegia of both genders. The sample was intentional or theoretical. We used semi-structured interview guide with three questions. The meanings of resilience were multidimensional. The feelings were diversified. The overcoming has occurred in several ways. it is concluded that the study participants were in high level of resilience. Key-words: resilience, paraplegia, a qualitative approach.
