The COVID-19 disease has generated alterations in the respiratory system of the human being, which have taken the lives of a large number of human beings. At the neuropsychological level, patients infected with COVID-19 have been reported who present symptoms that invite thinking that the brain would also be exposed to this virus. The neuropsychological disorders found are related to ageusia, anosmia, altered state of consciousness, paresthesia and others. This article reflects on this brain involvement by COVID-19, which, based on this situation that humanity is experiencing, must become a key topic in the study of the etiological factors of brain damage.
