Voleybolcularda Duygusal Zeka İle Örgütsel Bağlılık İlişkisinin Bazı Değişkenler Açısından İncelenmesi

This study was conducted to examine the relationship between the emotional intelligence and the organizational devotion of women volleyball team players with regards to some variables. The participants of this study are 104 sportswomen who are currently playing in the teams Fenerbahce, Galatasaray, Vakifbank, Eczacibasi, Besiktas and whose ages range from 16 and 32. This study was used as a medium to collect some data about volleyball players‟ emotional intelligence and organizational devotion as well as their demographic status. Frequency and percentage rates were calculated during the process of analyzing the data. Furthermore, independent t-test, variance analysis and correlation tests were implemented in this research with the aim of finding a difference between the variables. p< 0.05 and p< 0,01 was considered as this research‟s reliability scale. The results of this study shows that negative correlation between the emotional intelligence and the emotional devotion of the volleyball players. Moreover, the negative correlation between the demographic status of the platers which includes their age, the amount of time they spent playing volleyball, the amount of time they spent playing in their current team, their educational status and their emotional intelligence and organizational devotion brought about a substantial difference. It is expected that this research will be a guide especially for Turkish Volleyball Federation and for technical and administrative teams that are responsible for managing professional woman volleyball teams to work more on the practices that increase the level of volleyball players‟ emotional intelligence and organizational devotion.
