Uluslararası Alanda Ombudsmanlık Kurumu ve Türkiye

The ombudsman institution is one of the national human rights institutions that mediate the protection of human rights and control the human rights-related administration. There are many valuable studies about ombudsman institute’s legal status and its development in Turkey and in the world as well as in the literature. But the resources about the ombudsman institution with an international dimension and ombudsman institution in Turkey within the framework of relationships with international ombudsman networks are insufficient. In the study, the international dimensions of the ombudsman institution will be mentioned. International networks and co-ordination institutions about ombudsman institutions will be noticed. The development of the ombudsman institution in Turkey and its relationship with international coordination institutions and networks will be discussed. The main aim of the study is to evaluate Turkish Ombudsman with its international dimension and to contribute to the literature in this field.
