The theory of labor value is grounded, considering their differences, in the studies of Adam Smith, David Ricardo and Karl Marx, mainly. Classical political economy, especially the critique of political economy, has placed labor at the center of the existence of value. But in the case of organic production from knowledge of agroecology, there is a component derived from nature in value. The value in agroecology derives from the force of nature and not only from the force of labor, that is, nature, and not only labor, is capable of adding value to products elaborated with agroecology knowledge. Key word: Theory of value. Work. Agroecology. 1 Professor de Geografia da Universidade Estadual do Oeste do Paraná (Unioeste) e da Universidade Federal da Grande Dourados (UFGD).
