The main goal of this research is to consider the potential of a didactic proposal, based on the use of experiments and in the History of Science, to learn the principles of dynamics. The constructivist / humanist vision of Ausubel and Novak grounded the research. The product was applied in a 9th grade class in a public school in Macaé-RJ, according to a qualitative methodological approach, in a specific case study. The data collected allow us to infer a satisfactory cognitive engagement.
