Other methods are also discussed in comparison to PCA, the advantages and disadvantages being underlined in each case. Simulations are performed in Matlab for a number of scenarios, with the purpose to test the method’s reliability in different cases, especially unfavorable ones. A concept for generalizing the functionality of the algorithm is also presented, and the limitations of this concept are discussed.
