Fun learning is believed to be able to improve cognitive abilities and learning achievements. One of the underlying reasons is that such learning is likely to improve students' memory ability. This study aimed to find the truth about that by using theoretical way. The method of this study was deductive reasoning of some cognitive and learning psychology theories. This study’s result showed that by using attention and emotion, a positive effect of fun learning on memory ability can be arisen. Attention and emotion influence the flow of information processing. Attention plays a role in determining the amount of information received by sensory receptors, while emotions affect information storage in long-term memory. It was concluded that fun learning can be used to improve memory ability because it attracts attention (increases the amount of information received by sensory receptors) and evokes emotions (causes learning material to be prioritized by the amygdala to be stored and undergo consolidation in longterm memory).
